Home Assistant for DEYE

Want your DEYE inverter in Home Assistant too? For the DEYE Web Gateway (DEYE SUN-xK-SG04LP3 / SG05LP3 three-phase hybrid inverters) there is a free integration and a ready-made dashboard in the same look you know from the Deye-HomeMonitor app: the house with animated energy flows, daily production and consumption, charts, weather forecast, spot electricity prices and the AC connectors per phase. Everything runs in your home network only – no cloud.

The integration works with the DEYE Web Gateway, not with the Deye-HomeMonitor app. Home Assistant reads the data from the gateway (the LTSolutions device connected to the inverter) with an activated license and on the same local network. The Deye-HomeMonitor app itself provides no data to Home Assistant. Read about the gateway on jkbms.sk.
DEYE Web Gateway dashboard in Home Assistant

What the dashboard shows

  • Four main tiles – PV production (now, today, total, PV1 and PV2), house consumption, battery (state of charge, charging or discharging) and grid (import and export today).
  • The house with energy flows – PV, grid, house, battery and the GEN port (generator, smart load or micro-inverter) with animated dots; their number and speed grow with the power.
  • Daily production and consumption – how much of the production went to the house, the grid and the battery, and how much of the consumption came from solar, the grid and the battery, in kWh and in percent.
  • Four charts of today – PV power, battery level, house consumption and grid power.
  • Weather forecast with sunshine hours, temperatures and a yield estimate in kWh from your PV peak power (kWp).
  • Electricity – the current spot price (OKTE for Slovakia, OTE for Czechia), the buy and sell price with your fees and VAT, today's import and export in money, and a chart of today and tomorrow.
  • Tables and AC connectors – production and consumption today, battery status, inverter output, and voltage, power and current on L1, L2 and L3 for grid, load, GEN port and inverter.
  • Inverter state – online or offline, run state, active warnings and faults.

The integration also creates about 80 entities (power, energy, battery, phases, temperatures) that you can use in automations and in the Energy dashboard.

Installation in short

  1. Integration: extract the deye_web_gateway/ folder into config/custom_components/, restart Home Assistant and in Settings → Devices & services → Add Integration search for “DEYE Web Gateway” (the gateway's IP address, port 80).
  2. Dashboard: extract the deye-overview/ folder into config/www/ and add the resource /local/deye-overview/deye-overview-card.js?v=1 (JavaScript module).
  3. A new dashboard with a single custom:deye-overview-card card – it finds its entities by itself, nothing to edit.

Exact steps and downloads on jkbms.sk

On jkbms.sk you will find the detailed step-by-step guide, the integration ZIP, the dashboard ZIP and troubleshooting. The weather forecast, location, PV peak power (kWp), spot prices and fees come from the gateway's own settings.

Home Assistant away from home. Both the gateway and Home Assistant are on the local network. To see the dashboard from outside, use a VPN on your own router – see the guide Remote access over VPN. Never forward the ports of the gateway or the logger to the internet.
